Job Description:

The Supplier Quality & Development Organization is responsible for securing the best performing supply base in quality, reliability, and safety. In this role you will be directly supporting the Gas Services Controls and Digitalization business by qualifying, monitoring, and developing instrumentation, controls, and electrical suppliers globally.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Supplier Qualification: Support a cross-functional team by assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management system & processes, etc.
  • Product and Process Qualification: Lead cross-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) on commodity parts according to applicable process descriptions and standards. Leading includes the planning, tracking, and reporting of project milestones as well as budget and resource needs. Support the supplier quality assurance measures along the complete PPQ. Approve supplier process via submitted Manufacturing Quality Control Plan.
  • Perform source inspection of suppliers for instrumentation, controls, and electrical suppliers in Americas region. Inspection types are typically visual and documentation. Partial discharge, Insulation resistance, dielectric, withstanding voltage, resistance test, and other tests for high and low voltage applications witnessing is possible. Must be able to review test reports, certificates of conformance, etc. and interpret to SE specifications compliance.
  • Perform virtual / desk inspection of international suppliers of instrumentation, controls, and electrical suppliers in conjunction with source inspections performed by Supplier Quality Engineers located in the supplier region.
  • Identify and initiate containment on any identified non-conformances. Follow-up with corrective action as necessary.
  • Supplier Development: Support supplier evaluation based on regular analysis of supplier quality. Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and definition of appropriate risk mitigation measures at the supplier.
  • Manage various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.
  • Typical products in scope are Diodes, Enclosures, Relays, Transistors, Network Switches, IO Cards, Servers, Thin Clients, Cables, Transformers, Secondary Breakers, Excitation Systems

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Must have certification and experience auditing suppliers providing parts and service to the Nuclear industry.
  • Must have experience with National and International Quality Standards (ISO 9001,14001, 45001, N299, NQA-1, etc.).
  • Must have experience with National and International Electrical Standards (IEC, IEEE, ATEX(Ex), UL).
  • Experience with ISO 27001 Cybersecurity preferred.
  • You have technical experience with instrumentation, controls, testing methodology and electrical suppliers.
  • At least 10 years preferred professional experience in supplier quality management, quality management, or electrical engineering in the instrumentation and controls industry. Position Class can be adjusted based off candidate's skills and experience.
  • You have experience performing supplier qualification, product/ process qualification & technical supplier development to provide a global, demand covering, quality assured and cost-effective supply base for responsible suppliers.
  • Must have experience with root cause investigation and corrective action.
  • Must have experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • You are comfortable and proficient working with a variety of databases, reporting and other digital tools.
  • Experience in working with virtual cross-functional teams in an international environment.
  • You are a self-starter, determined and self-reliant; your organization, strategic, analytical, leadership skills and intercultural expertise round up your profile.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
