Where you will work:


This position offers a hybrid work option (up to 50% remote) and is based out of the Mankato, MN or Lakeville, MN office.


The contributions you will make:

This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of patronage payments, maintaining comprehensive and accurate records, and generating financial reports and insightful analysis. Serves as a key point of contact for member-owner inquiries, ensuring exceptional service and resolution of any issues.


A typical day:
  • Determines accurate and compliant patronage calculations based on Board directives, member-owner records and outstanding allocated equities.
  • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of member-owner records and related transactions. Serves as a point of contact for member-owners, addressing and resolving patronage-related inquiries and issues. Creates and maintains the accuracy and integrity of patronage transactions by performing daily reconciliations, creating and reviewing accounting entries and verifying monthly general ledger balances.
  • Provides technical assistance and support to team members and vendors regarding financial systems and general ledger activities. Helps troubleshoot issues and ensures adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Interprets and communicates financial data for complex questions, provides guidance and effectively translates highly technical finance, regulatory and/or accounting information into non-technical terms.
  • Creates various spreadsheets for data inputs, allocations, accruals, and calculations that impact the financial statements and inform decision-making.


The skills and experience we prefer you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; or equivalent.
  • Advanced-level experience of accounting or finance required, preferably in a financial services industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and/or financial principles.
  • Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and standards.
  • Experience in designing and implementing automated reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data into concise and actionable management reports.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, team building, problem solving, decision making, analytical, organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detail are required.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications, SQL databases, and accounting software.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible in response to changing business environments and priorities.
  • Ability to analyze processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
  • Valid driver's license.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
