We are a Privately-Owned Solar Engineering Services firm, focusing exclusively on the development of industry-leading solutions. We develop, design, and sell new products that are highly efficient and custom installation solutions that enhance the overall adoption of solar. Our dynamic and growing company needs a detail-oriented Pricing Analyst, to support our preconstruction team by developing and reviewing pricing strategies for services and installation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pricing models, and proposal development within a services or installation environment. This individual will play a key role in ensuring competitive, profitable, and accurate pricing for all customer proposals and contracts.
Job Responsibilities: • Analyzing pricing models for service-based and installation projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and market standards. • Identify root causes of variances and participate in efforts to reduce variances. Reviewing proposal targets and identifying where the variances are. • Follow existing estimating and pricing policies and standard operating procedures. • Work to ensure that proposals are submitted in line with RFP due dates. • Coordinate with Procurement and Operations to ensure that all costs are adequately covered in cost estimates. • Provide recommendations to improve profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market. • Review and analyze subcontractor or vendor proposals and contracts to ensure pricing is accurate, and aligned with market pricing trends. • Support the creation of cost estimates and provide pricing input for new proposals. • Help streamline internal processes related to pricing, and proposals, • Maintain pricing models and ensure that historical pricing data is up-to-date for future reference. • Provide support in estimating costs and setting pricing for customers.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. • 1+ years of experience as a Pricing Analyst or General Accountant, with a focus on proposals and pricing for services or installation projects. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex pricing data and translate it into actionable insights. • Experience in the construction, energy, or technology sectors is a plus. • Experience with pricing strategies, cost modeling, and margin analysis in a service-based or installation-focused environment. • Familiarity with pricing negotiations, and proposal development processes. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools; experience with pricing software is a plus. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. • Understanding of project management processes and their impact on pricing and contracts is preferred. • Detail oriented, energetic, self-driven, highly motivated, personable, and collaborative. • Professional acumen, strong organizational skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
