Job Title: Jewelry Production Associate

Salary: $20.76

About the Position

The Jewelry Production Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, pricing and packaging jewelry donations for online sales and Retail stores.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.


  • Responsible to meet productivity standards and production goals.
  • Untangle and inspect jewelry to determine condition, value and acceptability.
  • Categorize jewelry based on use, value and type.
  • Identifies quality of certain categories for Management to review.
  • Research and learn different jewelry styles and periods.
  • Ensures that Retail stores are supplied with jewelry that is properly processed, prepared and meets quantity standards.
  • Handles special requests from the Retail stores for jewelry; promptly prepared and shipped.

Maintain a clean work environment. Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:


  • High school graduate or equivalency, but not required
  • Knowledge of E-Commerce jewelry processes is helpful.
  • Experience with identifying period when jewelry was made, material, and quality with the ability to describe the item in online form.
  • 1 year experience selling vintage and/or fine jewelry preferred.
  • Must be able to perform detailed work (untangle jewelry without breaking chains items, matching earring and pieces)
  • A jewelry background is preferred.

Computer/Technology Skills:


  • Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Internet research skills
  • Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.

Physical Abilities:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; have developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers; standing for long periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders; able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain). Visual acuity. Able to sufficiently see objects up close and frequently use magnification to view small markings. Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.
