The Dealer Sales Representative is responsible for BluPeak Credit Unions dealer business development, dealer relations, special promotions and enhancing current indirect lending relationships. Also responsible for supporting annual business development strategies in accordance with approved annual production goals with the assistance of the VP, Chief Credit Officer or AVP, Lending Administration.
• Conducts on-site sales calls to dealer partners acting as a liaison between BluPeak Credit Union and the dealerships.
• Audits problem dealers and performs follow-ups.
• Participates in community events, dealer sale events, and related activities that support business development, while enhancing BluPeak Credit Unions image throughout the local auto dealer community.
• Utilizes technology to create reports, analyze results, and report findings to management.
• Procures the due diligence necessary to onboard new Auto Dealerships to our business partners group.
• Evaluates and submits dealers for deactivation because of adverse information and observations of financial results.
• Completes special projects as assigned by VP Chief Credit Officer or AVP, Lending Administration.
• Develops annual business plan for assigned market area, with VP, Chief Credit Officer and AVP, Lending Administration to support annual loan production goals and independently implement plans.
• Keeps management apprised of loan pipelines for volumes below and above projected goals monthly.
• Provides competitive program analysis with recommendations for enhancing BluPeak programs for consideration on a regular basis to AVP, Lending Administration.
• Maintains the required knowledge of policies and procedures, laws and regulations, as well as other compliance
• Supports sales efforts of credit union by promoting our products and services.
• Meets loan production volume and all other goals as assigned.
• Responds promptly to customer and dealer inquiries, handle and/or resolve member and dealer issues/complaints.
• Protects the credit union assets by adhering to safe and sound security practices.
• Works efficiently with all team members to reach monthly and annual loan production goals.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of auto dealership experience is required. Dealer Sales Representative experience & credit union experience is preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Manages & maintains and enhances dealer relationships (as noted in essential duties).
TECHNOLOGY PROFICIENCY
To perform this job, the employee must possess applicable technology skills and demonstrated expertise. Ability to use loan origination systems, contact management software, mortgage coach software and Microsoft Office application products, as well as the ability to learn new applications quickly; requires general knowledge of computer networks and database use.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job, the employee must possess strong interpersonal skills, good phone and e-mail etiquette, a professional presentation, and a high degree of personal initiative. They must exhibit the following characteristics: honesty, integrity, stress tolerance, adaptability, patience, initiative, persuasiveness, resilience and enthusiasm. They must be goal driven and results focused. Due to the nature of the outside calling functions, the employee must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work nights and weekends.
