Job Description:

Our product is in Phase III development for blood pressure lowering in resistant/uncontrolled hypertension. The opportunity is expanded across cardiorenal diseases by the potential for a fixed-dose combination with a best-in-class medicine for the treatment of diabetes, heart failure, and CKD. The program is supported by an expansive clinical program, including major Phase 3 outcomes studies that aim to demonstrate our product provides both blood pressure reduction and organ protection in a single treatment option.


In this role, you will be a commercial leader helping to develop and shape the global strategic plan for the prevention of heart failure indication, implement the global operational plan, support key markets, as well as drive integration and alignment across indications for the franchise as a whole. The successful candidate must be a strong strategic thinker and good communicator, with a specific appetite for shaping and implementing brand strategy in concert with global cross-functional teams, market affiliates, and external partners.


What you'll do


In this role, you will be responsible primarily for strategic planning for our HF prevention indication:


•Commercial strategy and planning to drive success for the FDC across the HF prevention indication from Phase 3 through to launch


•Shape product strategy with a tie to disease area strategies and insights (in T2D, HF)


•Generate & use customer insights (patient, physician, payer) to inform clinical development plans and TPPs and to create differentiated and winning brand strategies


•Support with objectively analyzing and commercially evaluating the emerging profile, competitive positioning, unmet need, pricing and market access, etc.


•Support the development of evidence-based forecasts that are aligned with the target product profile and that credibly reflect a range of commercial potential


•Comply with AZ policies, standards and procedures in every interaction


The role will also have responsibility for coordination across the franchise to ensure seamless integration across the hypertension, HF prevention, and CKD indications. The franchise responsibility will encompass proactive management of franchise-level strategic planning discussions to drive alignment cross-functionally across indications.


Essential Skills/Experience


•Bachelor's degree


•10+ years pharmaceutical commercial experience


•Expertise in cardiovascular, renal and/or metabolic disease areas


•Broad commercial experience including pre-launch and launch


•Experience with revenue forecasting, budget/expense management, business case development and management/communication of brand performance. Evidence of developing compelling business cases


Desirable Skills/Experience


•An advanced degree (MBA, MSc or PhD) is preferred
