The SIIMS Release and Automation team is responsible for delivering production releases of SIIMS product increments at a regular cadence and automation development for SIIMS in-store and cloud applications. The SIIMS Program Test Lead will be responsible for defining, planning, and implementing the testing strategy for all SIIMS releases, ensuring each release meets the highest quality standards. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and the Release Lead, to deliver high-quality software releases in alignment with our business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Participate in small to large project efforts, focusing on performing manual and automated tests on enterprise-level applications.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy (manual and automation), including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data, for our software programs to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Coordinate and manage all aspects of the testing process, including functional, integration, performance, security, and regression testing, to ensure that software releases meet quality standards and requirements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and the Release Lead, to identify, track, and resolve testing-related issues, risks, and dependencies, ensuring proactive communication and escalation as needed.
Establish and enforce testing policies, processes, and best practices to optimize testing efficiency and minimize risks.
Monitor and report on testing progress, performance, and quality metrics to stakeholders, including senior management.
Execute complex SQL queries for data validation and test support activities.
Manage test cases and strategies within HP Quality Center, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management tools.
Leading and mentoring a team of testers, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure their professional development and the successful execution of testing activities.
Collaborate with the software development team to ensure seamless integration of testing activities into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or a related analytical discipline, or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance software testing, with a focus on designing, developing, and executing test cases.
4+ years in test case development tools and in creating and executing complex SQL queries to support test activities.
4+ years with test management tools such as HP Quality Center, Jira, Azure DevOps
2+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team of testers, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure their professional development and the successful execution of testing activities.
Demonstrated expert level understanding of testing methodologies and tools with the ability to coach others on best practices, processes, and procedures.
Proficient in software development life cycle (SDLC), Quality Assurance methodology, and Agile processes
Experience creating comprehensive test strategies and test plans for large and complex projects, translating business and system requirements into manual and/or automated test scenarios and test cases.
Demonstrated ability to analyze test scenarios to ensure coverage and detect gaps, as well as understand potential business impacts, priorities, and severity of defects.
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance for enterprise applications
Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies
Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
Proficiency in writing and executing manual and automated test cases for a range of applications, including websites and mobile apps, and ability to use development tracking tools for bug and defect management.
