We are seeking an experienced, driven, and energetic Engineering Manager to lead and oversee engineering teams in the design, development, and delivery of custom, heavy, mobile automation solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of balancing leadership, technical expertise, and project management to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Manage, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
Assign projects and tasks, balancing workloads and ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
Recruit, onboard, and train engineering staff as needed.
Project Oversight:
Oversee design and engineering processes from concept through production, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and clients to define requirements, set timelines, and allocate resources.
Monitor project progress, addressing technical challenges and providing guidance to resolve issues.
Technical Expertise:
Provide high-level input on designs, including mechanical, electrical, and software components of automation systems.
Stay updated on industry advancements, tools, and technologies to implement best practices.
Review and approve engineering documentation, including SolidWorks models, schematics, and technical reports, and
SolidWorks PDM implementation and administration experience.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure all engineering outputs meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for design, development, and testing.
Strategic Planning:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, tools, and team capabilities.
Collaborate with leadership to align engineering efforts with business goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field (master's preferred).
Experience:
15+ years of experience in engineering within automation or manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Proven track record in oversight of custom automation design, contracting, assembly, and commissioning.
Formative experience with robotics systems and implementation.
Heavy mobile industrial equipment experience is a plus.

Exceptional at oversight and control of engineering processes in fast-paced environment.
Advanced SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM experience.
