Internship Project Focus Areas:
- Engineering Internships
o Focus on one or more of the following verticals of Engineering: Mechanical Design, Electrical, Testing, Systems, Production, Fluids, and Research & Development
- Non-Technical Internships
o Focus on either areas such as Operations or Supply Chain
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled as a student of an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a related field with at least one semester remaining
U.S. citizenship is required, and no current or future work authorization sponsorship is available
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Passion for aerospace or defense technology
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: • 6+ months prior internship experience with applicable skills is highly preferred • GPA of 3.5 or above is preferred, but not required
Application Process:
The application period for the job is estimated to be 20-30 days from the job posting date. However, this timeline may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates. Candidate selections and interviews will be conducted in January 2025 and offers/selections by February for the Summer 2025 Internship openings.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds; may require minimal walking, standing for extended amounts of time, climbing, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
