The DOS Janus IV contract provides voice, data, and WiFi network engineering, analysis, procurement, storage, shipment, and installation to DOS locations world-wide.
AT&T has an opening for a WiFi Surveyor and Installer Mid to support the DOS ITL Division, in providing day to day JANUS IV project support to the DOS FPT program.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Possess and apply intermediary knowledge regarding the survey and installation of both network infrastructure or WiFi transport solutions.
The candidate shall be capable of surveying the physical infrastructure required to implement both the LAN and WiFi hardware and equipment.
Detailed rack space and power requirements
Detailed copper and fiber cabling requirements
Produce cabling and WiFi designs including the materials to properly install to industry standards
Skills and ability to install the LAN and Wi-Fi equipment
The candidate shall be capable of reviewing and evaluating WiFi survey reports, developing a LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi design that meets the specifications provided by the survey Team.
The candidate shall be capable of performing Installation of Wi-Fi systems in accordance with DoS guidelines.
Create WiFi predictive, survey, and installation reports in accordance with DoS guidelines.
Provide technical support to DOS OBO New Embassy Compounds (NEC), New Consular Compounds (NCC), New Office Buildings (NOB), renovations and similar projects.

Required Qualifications:
Either 3 years of structured cabling surveys, and installations or 1 year of IP LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi design experience to include specific lists of equipment and materials
3 years experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio applications. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Candidates must be able to climb ladders
Desired Qualifications
1 year of hands-on experience with WiFi analysis/heat map tools (e.g. Ekahau, Air Magnet, etc.).
Strong team skills, excellent communications skills
2 years of experience working on network projects and programs with Federal customers (prefer DOS)
3 years of experience with structured cable plant designs and power specifications.
Applicable Cisco routing and switching certification, or industry recognized Wi-Fi certification.
