The starting salary for this role starts at $85,809-$96,535 per year.

About the role:

Provides technical assistance to the system users, management, and the IT department, with primary focus on network administration. Monitors network and server infrastructure and makes recommendations for performance and security.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides installation and support for the network infrastructure, which includes switches, routers, VoIP, Firewalls and, Virtual platforms on multiple operating system such as Windows Server, Microsoft SQL, and vendor supported Linux appliances.
  • Responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization’s network connectivity including, fiber internet, carrier ethernet, and branch connections through SD-WAN both on premises and cloud networking.
  • Participates in short and long-range planning for the department to select and utilize appropriate technologies to meet the evolving needs of the Credit Union and its members.
  • Monitors network and VoIP system for reliability and performance. Recommends improvements for performance enhancements, security, and disaster recovery capability.
  • Responsible for all changes to the VoIP network, including the removal, addition, and modification of equipment.
  • Maintains accurate network topology diagram and network equipment configurations.
  • Maintains the organization's firewalls and security gateways.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • Education/Certifications/Licenses: Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field). CCNA networking certifications preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
  • Other Skills: Microsoft software, computer system hardware and software, LAN, WAN, VoIP solutions, PCs and peripherals. Excellent network and computer skills, logical, ability to prioritize projects, attention to details, ability to multitask.
