Our cient, a prominent law firm located in downtown St. Louis, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Asbestos Department. This is a dynamic opportunity for a professional with a strong background in litigation support. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of relevant experience, a Paralegal certificate, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience: At least five years of litigation support experience, preferably in asbestos or related areas.
Certification: Paralegal certification is preferred.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Hybrid work arrangements are available. (2 days working from home per week)
Key Responsibilities:
Manage case files, ensuring all deadlines are met and documentation is organized.
Provide litigation support for attorneys, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents.
Proactively track case progress, ensuring efficient preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials.
Communicate with clients, experts, and other stakeholders, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Assist with discovery processes, including document review, data management, and preparation of evidence.
Collaborate with team members on long-term projects and urgent matters, offering support as needed.
Required Skills and Attributes:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to independently manage cases while also contributing as a team member.
Excellent writing and communication skills, with a focus on professionalism.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Competence in using legal technology tools to enhance case management and attorney support.
Ability to adapt to hybrid work settings, ensuring effective collaboration both remotely and in-office.
