Job Description:

Job Summary


Performs inspection of materials using visual evaluation test instruments and other measuring devices to ensure that quality of materials meets listed qualifications and standards,


Schedule


 2:15 pm - 10:45 pm |  Monday - Friday  (Overtime when needed)


Position Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.  Other duties may be assigned as necessary.



  • Examines materials and products for conformance to specifications as indicated by blueprints or product drawings.

  • Attaches identification data to articles.

  • Records factors causing material to be rejected.

  • Perform inspection duties to make go/no decisions with limited supervision.

  • Determines inspection sample sizes based on ANSI/ASQC 2-1.4 standards.

  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment and maintain regular attendance.

  • Must be able to work overtime as business need dictates.


Quality Responsibilities



  • Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.


Education:



  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.


Experience:



  • 0 to 3 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.

  • Experience with MIL-105E, blueprint reading, and basic measuring devices (e.g., micrometers, calipers, and gauges) preferred.


Testing & Certifications:



  • Skills or TABE testing may be required


Computer Skills:



  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access, Publisher, SharePoint, Teams)

  • AS400 experience


Work Environment



  • Moderate noise level.

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

  • Exposure to warm temperatures (above 95°F) and cool temperatures (below 40°F).
