THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN PLEASANT GROVE/STOCKTON CA.


POSITION SUMMARY


The Rebuild Supervisor/Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating machine rebuild activities for Construction, Forestry, and Agricultural equipment. This role serves to maintain high-quality standards and efficiency in the rebuild process. The ideal candidate will have extensive mechanical experience, leadership abilities, and a strong attention to detail.


This role will collaborate with Marketing and Product Support Sales to identify opportunity, work closely with the sales team as required to present options to customers, oversee the quoting department  coordinate service activities, and collaborate with marketing to maintain the opportunity funnel. They will also be responsible for planning meetings, customer communication, and post-job wrap-up analysis.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage  the quoting team to produce timely and accurate quote options.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Support Sales Manager to identify rebuild opportunities.

  • Work with Service Operations to create and maintain Rebuild Job Standards using SOC system, Work Order History, and CAT calculator.


    • Coordinate the rebuild jobs in collaboration with Earthmoving division Parts & Service Supervisors across all shops through the following activities: Pre-project planning meetings

    • Verify parts orders, track bacorders, verify parts fulfillment

    • Daily progress checks

    • Weekly project visits

    • Pre-closing checklists

    • Post-Project job analysis


  • Ensure all rebuilds adhere to  specifications and quality standards.

  • Train and mentor technicians on rebuild procedures and best practices.

  • Work with technicians to maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

  • Confirm  testing and quality control checks are performed on rebuilt equipment prior to  customer delivery.

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure service activities align with business goals.

  • Oversee  the rebuild opportunity funnel and manage sales pipeline for future rebuilds .

  • Partner  with Product Support Sales team to plan and facilitate customer meetings and manage customer communications. This includes providing  weekly customer update format with photos and project status.


Qualifications & Skills:




  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in tractor repair, rebuilds, or a related mechanical field.


  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training preferred.


  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in tractors and agricultural equipment.


  • Leadership Skills: Experience leading a team, training staff, and overseeing projects.


  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose issues and develop cost-effective, long-term repair solutions.


  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to high-quality workmanship and following manufacturer guidelines.


  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment parts, stand for long periods, and work in various shop conditions.


  • Tools & Technology: Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and software for tracking rebuild progress.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.  The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places. 


The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.


COMPENSATIONS 


Pay Range: $100,000 - $115,000 Annually.


Pay Range Dependent on Knowledge, Skills, and Ability.


Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
