Job Description:

Samson, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking a Product Manager for Services in the Sales and Marketing department. The Product Manager for Services will utilize a new technology and service platform that Samson launched in 2018 that includes online tools designed to solve operational challenges associated with line care and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidance. The Product Manager for Services will be responsible for defining needed improvements and managing the ongoing development pipeline related to this innovative platform and the commercial aspects of future innovations in the area of rope health management.
The Product Manager will be directly responsible for managing Samson services products, including pricing, new product development and launch, customer/user research, business case development through commercialization, competitive intelligence, and global marketing launches. They will practice a high level of business ethics, quality, professionalism, and safety in all activities in accordance with Samson strategy and core values.
Who You Are:An experienced presenter who enjoys conveying information and making recommendations.Analytically and quantitatively minded.Motivated by product planning and implementation results.Interested in conducting market research and customer analytics.Knowledgeable of marketing funnel strategies and agile methodologies and processes.Experienced with using digital marketing tools.Familiar with social marketing tactics to engage end users and channel partners.Able to build relationships within all levels of a diverse organization.A clear and concise communicator with a strong attention to detail.Proficient computer user who is experienced with Microsoft Office and able to learn new programs.A creative problem solver who can recommend and implement solutions.Able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.Able to handle confidential and sensitive information.What You'll Do:Lead service product development efforts including gathering Voice of the Customer information and incorporates feedback into technical requirements for Samson's development teams.Provide product line lifecycle, price, and position analysis and recommendations to Business Directors other Leadership to maximize market share, profit and revenue.Develop business cases to enable leadership to select, prioritize and make resource allocation decisions for new projects. Plays a critical role in new and existing product forecasting process for all channels and categories.Champion research activities related to competitors, categories and markets to strengthen the product portfolio. Conduct field surveys, develop domestic and international competitive intelligence, and track trends within the industry.Maintain working knowledge and familiarity with software and related equipment technology to understand risks and opportunities related to Samson's rope health management service offering.Interact and coordinate with IT, field service, sales, marketing communications, and engineering.Plan strategy and execution of specific marketing plans and promotions for Samson service products.Facilitate adoption of new platforms including sales team training and customer meetings and presentations.Collaborate and assist with developing sales support materials, go-to-market strategies and Samson's website in partnership with Samson's marketing communications team Introduce and market new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.Recommend product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.Act as Agile Product Owner to define business requirements for the technology and service platform productsWork with IT Project Managers and development team to define & refine detailed product requirements and priorities.Lead onboarding strategies and technical product release planning with technical and business leads.Track and manage customer onboarding processes and systems.What You Should Have:
Education:Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, information technology or related field. Desired: Master's degree in business administration with experience in software product management. Experience:3+ years of work experience in one or more of: hands-on marketing, product management, Software as a Service, or application engineering in support of sales. Product / project management experience. Targeted hiring range for this position is $ 102,580 - $128,225.50. Hiring rate will depend on qualifications and experience.
Samson has established wage scales for all of our positions, which are based on a minimum and maximum. The targeted hiring rate above is set to allow for employees' growth within the role. The full range for this position is $102,580.00 - $153,871.00 annually.
