Job Summary/Basic Function: The Business Department at Wheaton College (MA) invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track Professor of Practice with the ability to teach introductory statistics and business analytics. The Professor of Practice position integrates practical experience with academic scholarship and provides a unique perspective on the practical applications of theory in the profession.
The position will begin Fall 2025 for a full-time one year appointment with renewal based on a successful annual evaluation. The Business Department (Business) consists of eleven full-time faculty in a diverse range of specialty areas including Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, and Entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will share our commitment to integrating the business majors within a broad, interdisciplinary liberal arts education and contribute to the continuing development of a vibrant, growing business program with an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative culture.
Minimum Qualifications: We are looking for a candidate who has experience teaching statistics within the context of business/social sciences discipline. A master’s degree in a related field is required. The teaching load is six classes per year (a 3-3 load), with the additional expectations of academic advising, active participation in the Business Department and the Wheaton community, maintaining professional credentials as appropriate, and collaborating in areas directly related to their expertise and experience.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with the qualifications, education and experience.
