The Engineer III, Industrial is responsible for performing advanced analysis on scheduled and forecasted demands, capacity analysis, reporting status of business operations, maintaining business KPIs, building recovery and operations plans to facilitate on time delivery of products to the customers, maintenance of time standards, optimal build flows, and facility layouts.
Job Duties
Develop site capacity plan, including headcounts, efficiency targets, and capacity assumptions. Create, maintain, track, and distribute reports for business KPIs
Compile reports for floor mechanics, management/executive management
Create tools and methods to measure and track shop floor milestones
Conduct audits and support 5S initiatives in support of production
Establish, revise, and maintain time standards in SAP for work orders and work order operations. Analyze and develop schedules and operating plans for production
Create recovery plans to facilitate on time delivery of products to customers
Perform analysis on product cycle, and lead times to support rate readiness and recovery initiatives
Conduct time studies, utilization studies, and other direct observation-based studies to update and improve time standards
Analyze overall process effectiveness and compile reports on potential improvements
Utilize value stream mapping, process flow and other Lean Manufacturing tools to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency
Assist with planning and optimization of equipment layouts, floor space, work cells, workflow, and safety precautions in an industrial manufacturing environment
Support project management for capital equipment acquisition, prepare cost estimates, timelines, and budgets for proposed projects
Perform cost analysis in support of business development and spare pricing
Perform non-recurring engineering activities for work transfer and business development proposals including ROM impact estimates and unit hour to learning curve estimates
Process engineering change packages for impact to budget and methods of manufacture
Perform responsibilities and duties as assigned in alignment with SEED initiatives and IPT structure
Qualifications
Master's/Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Supply Chain Engineering from accredited university
5-7+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Basic proficiency with 2D/3D CAD Software
Advanced proficiency with data/process analytics
Basic proficiency with generic programming languages (VBA, SQL, Python, C)/SQL Database
Excellent communication and presentation skills/ability to train other personnel
Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
