Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Automotive Title Clerk to join their client's team in Inver Grove Heights. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can handle various responsibilities related to vehicle titling and registration. The ideal candidate will be proficient in titling software and have a keen understanding of state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
Handle the processing and titling of new and used vehicles, both in-state and out-of-state, using VITU, MNDrive, or local DMV platforms.
Proactively track and resolve title discrepancies by following up with banks, DMVs, lienholders, and dealership staff to gather necessary documents.
Oversee the distribution of titles for wholesale vehicle transactions.
Maintain orderly title and Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) records to ensure compliance and audit-readiness.
File completed transactions once titling is finalized.
Review and reconcile titling-related accounts and schedules.
Prepare and submit daily reports summarizing titling activities to the DMV.
Process and issue refund checks for customers when applicable.
Stay informed on state and federal regulations regarding vehicle titling and registration.
Provide support to finance managers, customers, and dealership leadership on titling-related matters.
Track and manage plate inventory, ensuring adequate stock for the finance team.
Ensure titling documents are notarized when necessary.
Qualifications
Previous experience in vehicle titling, registration, or DMV processing is preferred.
Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
Proficiency with titling software (such as VITU) and DMV systems.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills.
Knowledge of accounting processes related to vehicle sales is a plus.
Competitive pay ranging from $23 to $27 per hour.
