Location: La Grange, IL

Salary: $50,000.00 USD Annually - $54,000.00 USD Annually

Description:
What You'll Be Doing:



Testing:

• Perform a range of tests on ingredients, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.


• Conduct special projects and analyses as needed to support production and quality initiatives.

Analysis & Reporting:

• Accurately record and analyze test data, maintaining detailed records of results.


• Identify and report any out-of-specification results, taking initiative to investigate potential causes.


• Prepare reports summarizing findings and communicate results effectively to production and supervisory personnel.

Problem-Solving & Collaboration:

• Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.


• Audit operator quality performance and provide guidance on best practices.


• Equipment & Lab Maintenance:


• Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on laboratory equipment.


• Manage inventory of lab supplies and chemicals, ensuring timely replenishment.

Food Safety & Quality:

• Actively participate in and support the plant's GMP and Food Safety programs.


• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized laboratory work area.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Education: Degree is highly preferred, will look at recent graduates


• Experience: 1-5 years of experience in a food laboratory environment preferred, but we are open to considering recent graduates with relevant lab coursework or experience.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment.


• Familiarity with food production processes and quality control principles.


• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.


• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk and/or sit for extended periods.


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.


• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts.
