Location: Mahwah, NJ

Salary: $35.00 USD Hourly - $44.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Engineer, Packaging Engineering for a 12 month + contract.

Medical device or other highly regulated industry experience is required.


Develops and designs packaging equipment and materials for safe, convenient and attractive transport of goods under a variety of conditions. Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required type of packaging materials and to maximize convenience, utility and function based on the product's physical characteristics, safety and special-handling requirements. Evaluates packaging and transporting methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Evaluates and recommends efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and utilization of sealing and fastening devices.This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. Job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline. The job requires the ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and no experience.
