Position Summary:
Arkansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a 9 or 12 month, full time, tenure or non-tenure track, open rank faculty position in comparative veterinary anatomy (gross and microanatomy). Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This will be a predominantly teaching position (>65% teaching) and will also include research/scholarly activities and service. Teaching of DVM students will be in a competency-based veterinary curriculum incorporating lecture, lab and small group learning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Contribute to competency-based curriculum development with a focus on anatomyOversee the procurement, preparation, and disposal of cadavers and other teaching specimensOversee anatomy courses and exam schedule • Manage anatomy program support personnelDevelop a scholarly research program and/or collaborate in research endeavorsContribute to college and university committees and/or serve on regional or national professional organizationsOther duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff Ability to communicate effectively across CVM stakeholders Ability to prioritize tasks, deliver results in a timely manner and function independently
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in competency-based veterinary education Advanced training in education
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned DVM and/or PhD in a relevant field (DVM preferred)
Two years of teaching experience
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
