The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Quality Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to join the Software Quality team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Software Quality Engineering business organization.
The Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) division manages Boeing's mobility, surveillance and strike capabilities. This includes platforms such as the E-7A Airborne Early Warning & Control; E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System, B-1, B-2 and B-52 Bombers as well as the nation's executive fleet and international head of state aircrafts. These aircraft connect and protect the joint forces enabling them to be successful in their mission.
Our team of highly motivated, customer-focused engineer's partners with MS&B programs to help develop and maintain a culture of first-time quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). As a member of the Software Quality team, you have the autonomy and responsibility to work with programs to assure the right process for developing, controlling, and verifying software products is planned and complied with, and effectively improving the quality of our software products.
The successful candidate for this position will have a broad background in software development practices, tools, and processes combined with a passion for advocating First Time Quality strategies. Experience with Agile methodologies and knowledge of quality standards such as MIL-HDBK-516 is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, and able to learn the responsibilities of the position quickly. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are crucial for success.

Position Responsibilities:
Actively supports program activities, from initial proposal and planning to verification/certification and delivery
Defines and maintains program level software quality engineering processes, resources and infrastructure
Supports development of organization policies, procedures, infrastructure and metrics to support business objectives
Plans and conducts audits of software engineering processes and associated support functions
Participates in configuration management activities
Improves products and processes and manages risk
Evaluates validity of test cases against established regulatory and performance requirements
Performs final reconciliation of software data products
Plans software quality test activities and completion of test readiness activities
Provides input or Develops program specific software quality requirements for flow down to suppliers
Analyzes data to identify trends in non-compliances and initiates system level corrective and preventive actions
Identifies non-conformances and issues corrective actions
Reports non-conformance and corrective action data to appropriate management
Reviews and approves corrective and preventive action plans
Leads process improvement activities
Plans and verifies acceptability of supplier's software quality systems and programs.
Leads and performs final reconciliation of complex software data products
Leads or reviews, comments and approves software life cycle documents and program products
Evaluates validity of test cases against established regulatory and performance requirements
Ensures integrity of the test process
Verifies effectiveness of corrective and preventive action plans
Bachelor of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
2+ years of experience with the Software Development lifecycle (including requirements, design, code, integration & test)
Working knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Experience with various software development methodologies including Agile
Software Quality Engineering experience supporting airworthiness certification with MIL-HDBK-516
Knowledge of AS9115 QMS requirements and assessing software supplier compliance and performance

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Experienced: $83,300.00 - $112,700.00.
Summary pay range for Senior: $99,450.00 - $134,550.00
