POSITION SUMMARY:
Transport aircraft parts and tooling to/from building A warehouse to/from the aircraft or other locations as specified by the Manager, Stores or other members of the Management team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned from time to time.
• Efficiently pickup and deliver aircraft parts and tooling from and to the Stores department and the aircraft/Maintenance personnel as requested/required.
• As assigned, pickup and/or delivery parts to local suppliers/vendors.
• Follow best practices for safety protocols. Include wearing/utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Efficiently and safely operate, either a company golf cart, forklift or company vehicles, in a secure manner via the MDAD controlled ramp or public roads as required.
• Safely operate a Forklift to load/unload materials.
• Ensures that all parts and tooling are properly secured and protected from damaged while transporting to/from Stores and Maintenance personnel.
• Ensure that all actions are safely performed, and safety protocols are complied with per the company's General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and AMJ Safety Manual and industry standards.
• Ensure that PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) is utilized to avoid injury and other damages.
• Maintain proper tracking of movements for Parts and Tooling.
• Ensure that all parts and tooling are properly stored to avoid damage or contamination.
• Ability to work flexible scheduled to include, but not limited to; early mornings/day/nights/weekends/holidays.
• Assist with additional tasks as required or as assigned by the Manager, Stores or Lead Material Specialist and Management
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Education and Experience:
• Valid, violation free, driver's license is required.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English sufficiently for proper communication with Supply Chain Logistics internal and external customers.
• Be able to obtain MDAD access badging, driving license and Customs Boarder Control stamp.
• Operational skills with a forklift are required. Further training is provided.
• High School or higher education level is required.
• While performing duties, frequent requirements to stand/walk/sit/reach/climb and balance for extended periods of time.
• Ability to properly lift 50lbs or more.
• Warehouse experience is preferred
• Aviation/Airline knowledge and passion is preferred
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• Warehousing/Store experience
• Logistics knowledge
• Proper aircraft parts handling
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None - This is not a Supervisory position
Language Skills:
• Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English sufficiently for proper communication with Supply Chain Logistics internal and external customers.
Physical Activities and Requirements of the Position:
• Lift, safely up to 50 lbs.
• While performing duties, frequent requirements to stand/walk/sit/reach/climb and balance for extended periods of time.
• Be a team player - Working within a team proficiently.
• Have the flexibility to work various shift and perform various tasks.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving abilities to handle various situations on the go and quickly.
