As an IT Support Technician at Caterpillar Inc., you will support the IT function to ensure the business can meet their initiatives.
Shift: Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to accommodate business needs, including off shift and/or weekends. Many weeks, you can expect to work a Second Shift (3pm-11pm) or Third Shift (11pm-7am) position after training.

What You Will Do
• Perform periodic maintenance on printers and warehouse-based equipment
• Provide first level IT support on field equipment per issued local IT tickets.
• Support the IT Asset Manager by providing onsite tracking and audits of all distributed IT equipment.
• Assist Facility SPM Superuser, Blackbelt Project Managers and Facility Health Engineers at a local and network level.
• Utilize & Update the IT system for job tracking and monitoring.
• Provide support for around 3000 pieces of IT equipment to include Networking, radio equipment, PC's, RF devices, and printers.
• Developing/ Managing PowerBI dashboards, ensuring communication Monitors are updated.
• Provide support and/or participate in 6 Sigma Projects and RIW's at a local and network level.
• Build & image PC & RF equipment per Caterpillar specifications based on new equipment issues or the IT replacement program.
• Utilize and inspect heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoists
• Perform material handling and warehousing functions
• Multiple systems interactions
• Adhere to all facility safety policies and procedures
• Performs 5S/housekeeping functions as required

Effective Communications: Use verbal/non-verbal communication to receive direction, share ideas, and job-related needs with varying levels of the organization. Leads process improvement dialogue as needed.
Experience - IT Standards, Procedures, & Policies:
An understanding of computing hardware and software environments, system integration process, system administration processes and networking. (Candidates will be trained on Caterpillar IT policies and procedures)
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
Top Candidates will have:
Programming / Development experience or education
A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certifications
Currently pursuing education in IT or Computer Science related studies
