Your Team's Impact

The Associate Product Manager is responsible for discovery, planning, and execution of User Configurable Feeds (UCF). UCF is a critical component for accelerating FactSet's Pricing and Reference Data business offering turnkey delivery of configurable API, flat-file and cloud data solutions. This role is focused on supporting UI/UX, content management and technical infrastructure, ensuring we have a platform that is optimized for growth, stability, and scale. You will work heavily across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Implementation and Support to ensure current client success and bring new workflow solutions to the market.

Direct responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Insights - Derives insights to support product bets.


  • Regularly gathers, analyzes, and interprets feedback directly from clients and prospects to understand their problems and the gaps in our solutions and in the marketplace.

  • Participates in product discovery. Proactively identifies the market and validates the opportunity to prove whether a solution is valuable, viable, feasible and usable before developing it.

Strategy - Identifies and articulates a path to achieve results.


  • Performs research and analysis that contributes to the product vision, strategic framework and roadmap while driving the expansion of content offerings, data sources and technical capabilities of the product.

  • Works closely with clients, product, sales, implementation, and support to prioritize and plan.

Execution - Delivers on product outcomes.


  • Understands and articulates the goals and objectives of our end users. Clearly define user needs and acceptance criteria with development teams. Helps to prioritize needs and provides clarity for iterating on solutions.

  • Serves as SME on the quality and nuances of the product. Knows the top issues and how to troubleshoot them. Serves as an internal resource to educate junior team members and support desk staff on troubleshooting best practices.

  • Supports Product Managers by prioritizing issues that are critical to fix to improve the customer experience. Defines the problem space correctly and experiments with potential solutions before suggesting a specific fix.

  • Adept at separating bugs from user error and stability issues. Escalates issues to Engineering appropriately.

  • Prioritizes the instrumentation and reporting of key product metrics.

  • Leverages Agile principles and best practices.

  • Partners closely with Sales, Operations and Product Management teams to establish pricing and commercial strategies. Executes go-to-market strategies and sales campaigns to align our products to targeted client workflow.

  • Utilizes subject matter expertise to help drive solution creation and adoption across our client base.

Leadership - Inspires cross-functional teams to achieve great outcomes.


  • Gives prompt and candid feedback to cross-functional team members.

  • Coaches and mentors junior team members.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, finance, economics, or other relevant field, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years' experience in a product specialist, product owner or product centric client role within Fin Tech

  • Ability to troubleshoot client issues and solve them with a combination of creativity, analytical skills, and subject matter expertise.

  • Understands how to leverage tools and frameworks for product management such as user personas, empathy mapping, and prioritization frameworks.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to run effective meetings internally and with clients.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Strong track record of meeting desired deadlines and product milestones

  • Proven capability of effectively interacting with senior-level FactSet and/or client contacts

  • Knowledge of FactSet products, solutions, and client workflows

  • Knowledge of APIs, SQL/RDBMS, FQL/Screening and Cloud/Managed Solutions

  • Knowledge of data sets and technology solutions commonly utilized in the financial industry.

The budgeted amount range for this position in NYC and the State of Connecticut and NYC is $92,000 - $115,000.
