In the Outpatient Psychiatry program, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals across the lifespan while collaborating in a supportive and multidisciplinary environment.
What You'll Do:
As an APRN in the Outpatient Psychiatry program, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including evaluations, psychopharmacology, and crisis intervention, to individuals in a co-located medical and psychiatric setting. Your role will also involve consulting with other BHN programs to ensure seamless, integrated care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop clinical formulations and recommendations
Prescribe psychopharmacology using sound clinical theories and current standards of care
Provide comprehensive risk and crisis evaluations, taking appropriate actions to ensure safety
Collaborate with families, residential providers, and collateral contacts as part of the treatment process
Complete all documentation related to services accurately and in a timely manner
Offer psychiatric consultation to other BHN programs as needed

What You'll Bring:
Master's Degree or higher in mental health nursing from an accredited institution
Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice at the highest level in Massachusetts
Minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychiatric treatment as a nurse practitioner in an outpatient setting
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a medical setting before completing specialty psychiatric training
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation during working hours
Bilingual fluency in Spanish (preferred)
