Job Description:

An employer in the greater Seattle are is seeking lab technicians to help support our optical systems and satellite manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with experience in laboratory settings and maintenance of high-precision equipment. The hourly pay for this position is $32/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on laboratory and manufacturing equipment.

- Assist in the calibration and testing of optical systems and satellite components.

- Conduct quality control inspections and document test results.

- Maintain and troubleshoot optical testing setups and associated hardware.

- Ensure compliance with ESD and cleanroom protocols.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues.

- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory of tools and supplies.

- Participate in training programs and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Optical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering
  • 4+ years' experience in laboratory or manufacturing environments using high precision optical products including familiarity with interferometers, power meters, fiber optic architecture, and precise measuring instruments
  • Proven knowledge of ESD control measures,
  • ESD Control or Clean Room Operation Certification is a plus
