An employer in the greater Seattle are is seeking lab technicians to help support our optical systems and satellite manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with experience in laboratory settings and maintenance of high-precision equipment. The hourly pay for this position is $32/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
- Assist in the calibration and testing of optical systems and satellite components.
- Conduct quality control inspections and document test results.
- Maintain and troubleshoot optical testing setups and associated hardware.
- Ensure compliance with ESD and cleanroom protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Participate in training programs and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Optical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering
4+ years' experience in laboratory or manufacturing environments using high precision optical products including familiarity with interferometers, power meters, fiber optic architecture, and precise measuring instruments
Proven knowledge of ESD control measures,
ESD Control or Clean Room Operation Certification is a plus
