JOB DESCRIPTION

Chubb is seeking a skilled Reinsurance Litigation Counsel to join our dynamic team in the Philadelphia, PA office!

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Manage reinsurance arbitrations, mediations and litigation (at the trial and appellate court levels). This includes: pre-dispute counseling; selection and supervision of outside counsel; review and edit of briefs and other written submissions; coordination of written discovery; preparation of company witnesses for deposition and trial testimony; and active oversight of and participation in hearings, trials, mediations and moot court sessions.
  • Coordinate dispute and litigation management with internal business partners to ensure consistency with business strategies.
  • Communicate with senior management team on matters of significance.
  • Identify litigation trends and counsel business clients and other legal staff regarding opportunities to address those trends.
