Job Summary: The IT Assistant will provide technical support to students, faculty, staff, and administration by responding to issues that arrive at the Helpdesk via support tickets and walk-ins.   • Respond to customer issues via ticketing system, phone, email, walk-ins, and any other form of contact.

  • Follow-up in a timely manner with customers to ensure issues are resolved.

    Student Status: Must be a current student attending Spartanburg Methodist College.Federal Work Study Eligibility: Must be eligible to receive Federal Work Study funds.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills- leadership

    • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a detail-oriented approach.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    • Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting/moving items up to 50 pounds.

    • Ability to work outdoors and adapt to varying weather conditions.

    • Comfortable interacting with all levels of departmental administration and third-party operational contacts/vendors.

    • Willingness to comply with all departmental policies, safety guidelines, and confidentiality requirements.
