Monroe County Community College is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor for our Surveying course within the Construction Management program for the upcoming summer semester. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with experience as a registered surveyor or surveying technician to teach and mentor students in the program. Essential Job Functions
Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with college policies and course objectives.
Teach the operation of surveying instruments.
Instruct students on conducting field-related land surveying activities, including but not limited to boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, and as-built surveys.
Requirements Qualifications: AAS degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or equivalent experience. B.S. degree preferred. Certified Surveyor or Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) designation desirable. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on practical experience in the surveying field is required. Prior teaching experience and a strong passion for sharing knowledge and mentoring students is a plus. Ability to effectively demonstrate and explain field surveying techniques, as well as the use of surveying tools and equipment is required.
