We are looking for an experienced CFD engineer to join our team focusing on the research and development of rotodynamic pumps. In this role you will utilize advanced CFD analysis to predict pump performance and study complex fluid phenomena. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, solve complex fluid flow challenges, and drive innovation in pump design.
Support the development of new hydraulic for customer orders ($20K to $500K per project)
Support the development of new hydraulic for new products ($0.5M to $20M annual sales)
Responsibilities
Execute advanced CFD analysis of rotodynamic pumps for new product, technology or live order projects
Execute CFD correlation studies and maintain metrics
Define and maintain department standards for CFD analysis
Research new CFD analysis applications for rotodynamic pumps
Qualifications
Education: Mechanical Engineering Degree or related field, Ph. D preferred
Experience: 7 years of professional and/or graduate experience in CFD analysis with a strong focus on turbomachinery, rotodynamic pumps and hydro turbines preferred
Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and CFD principles
Experience in commercial CFD software packages, ANSYS CFX preferred
Proficiency generating high quality CFD meshes
Strong understanding of CFD solvers
Experience correlating CFD analysis to experimental data
