Job Description:

Accountant - Hybrid / Boston, MA


We are assisting our client, a financial services firm, in their search for an Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team on a temporary basis. The role involves managing financial transactions, assisting with reporting, and ensuring accuracy in financial data.



Key Responsibilities:

• Record financial transactions and reconcile bank statements.


• Manage fixed assets, ensuring accurate depreciation and record-keeping.


• Support accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities.


• Assist with month-end close and prepare necessary financial reports.


• Collaborate with internal teams to support accounting and financial processes.


• Support audits by preparing schedules and liaising with auditors.


• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (Accounting preferred, but open to other majors).


• Experience with fixed assets and bank reconciliations is required.


• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables and Lookups).


• Experience with Great Plains (a plus).


• Progress toward a CPA (a plus).
