 WHAT YOU’LL DO


As a Systems Engineer, you'll architect, implement, and optimize our next-generation infrastructure platform, focusing on automation, cloud-native architecture, and platform engineering. You'll drive modernization through Infrastructure as Code, advanced automation, and DevOps practices while ensuring security, scalability, and reliability across hybrid environments.


 Major duties and responsibilities:




  • Platform Engineering: Develop and manage platform-as-a-service solutions, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, API gateways, and GitOps workflows.


  • Infrastructure Operations: Architect hybrid cloud solutions, manage data center infrastructure, implement network automation, and ensure security and disaster recovery.


  • Automation & DevOps: Build infrastructure-as-code solutions, automate deployments, establish configuration management, and implement compliance controls.


  • Operational Excellence: Lead incident response, capacity planning, performance optimization, and observability solutions while maintaining technical documentation and collaborating cross-functionally..


WHO YOU ARE


To perform this role successfully, the Systems Engineer must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, education, and overall experience required for the role.  


Experience & Education



  • 3-5 years of experience in enterprise IT environments, with a proven track record in infrastructure engineering, automation, and hybrid cloud architectures.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-scale hybrid cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams, translating complex infrastructure concepts into actionable strategies.

  • Adept at managing projects, prioritizing tasks, and balancing strategic initiatives with operational needs.


Technical Expertise




  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Expertise in multi-cloud environments, hybrid connectivity, software-defined networking, and security architecture.


  • Automation & DevOps: Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).


  • Security & Compliance: Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, security monitoring, compliance automation, and disaster recovery best practices.


  • Observability & Operations: Skilled in monitoring, log aggregation, performance tuning, and ITSM/ITIL methodologies.


  • Scripting & Tooling: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and automation frameworks to optimize infrastructure workflows.


Preferred Certifications



  • AWS/Azure/GCP Professional Certifications

  • DevOps/SRE Certifications

  • ITIL Certification

  • Consistent use of eyes to analyze monitoring applications, spreadsheets, ticketing systems and web on computer screen
