RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide process technical support in the paper mill in solving day-to-day problems.
Collaborate with all departments to assess the plants' processes and share expertise to trouble-shoot and improve current procedures.
Conduct continuous improvement projects in quality, productivity, and cost by using scientific and statistical methods.
Assist with analysis, evaluation and recommendations with capital projects, commissioning of new equipment and all other tasks that require advanced technical support.
Support the team in preventative and predictive maintenance work through innovative projects in engineering.
Implement standardized manufacturing practices while implementing equipment management best practices.
Manage capital projects and engineering projects with funding and without.
Work within teams to utilize best manufacturing engineering practices to support innovative solutions
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & STRENGTHS
Understanding and expertise with programs such as CAD, Solidworks, Navisworks and Microsoft projects
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
Critical thinking and a demonstrated drive for growth
Ability to influence and engage employees to support change and engineering processes to improve the operations
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in projects and processes.
