Experience writing proposals, selecting teams to execute the work, and managing subcontractors
Proven experience in geotechnical design, slope stability, design of shallow, mat, and deep foundations, design of retaining walls, and large earthmoving projects
Professional Engineering license required or ability to obtain Oklahoma PE license within 6 months of hiring (open to PG candidates with strong PM experience)

Company Overview: Insight Global's Client in Tulsa, OK is seeking a talented Geotechnical Project Manager. Their offices support 80% of transportation projects, with the rest being a mix of oil and gas, power, and water projects. This position oversees the geotechnical aspect of larger projects, operating as a sub to oversee geotechnical work. Responsibilities:
Manage geotechnical projects and coordinate services with internal and external teams
Perform geotechnical oversight on engineering design, project proposal, and management duties
Ensure high client service by providing constructible designs, meeting deadlines, and maintaining clear communications with clients
Handle various aspects: internal resources, external resources, building a team, communicating with subcontractors, and clients
Write proposals and manage projects
Types of projects: 80% transportation-related work (roads, bridges, highways, ports, airports), 20% commercial work (buildings, oil and gas fields, tanks, pipelines, refineries, water/wastewater plants, communication towers)
90% office-based
Design work: 10% managing and reviewing, technical enough to oversee foundation design
Business development: 10% or less, focusing on client interaction and relationship building Skills and Experience:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams
Experience planning, implementing, and managing geotechnical exploration programs, including assigning laboratory testing
Experience guiding staff engineers in performing material and site characterization, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses
Experience preparing geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications for foundations and earthwork for various projects including transportation, water, retail, hospitality, and commercial
Experience in budget management, client updates, and other project management tasks
Experience preparing and presenting technical presentations to clients and technical review boards
Experience supervising field observation, testing, and performing site visits
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve with practical, client-focused solutions
Experience leading teams and professionally developing staff at all levels
Ability to interface with the civil design team to develop and value-engineer practical, fit-for-use geotechnical engineering solutions
Experience developing strategic pursuits and geotechnical proposals
Ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively
Ability to collaborate with regional leadership and other project managers to resource delivery effectively
Experience growing client relationships and developing business through work

Project size: $200K-$500K, possibly up to $1 million
Compensation:
$80,000/yr to $130,000/yr.
