We're hiring a Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources Team. Please note this position will be hybrid.



Responsibilities

Manage questions and requests from internal and external customers on benefits related matters and respond in a timely manner.

Process employee benefit changes (life events, pet insurance updates, ESPP enrollments, etc.) in HRIS and carrier sites as necessary in alignment with the bi-weekly payroll schedule.

Work with payroll specialist to confirm bi-weekly payroll accuracy for benefit changes.

Work with carrier partners on renewals, plan changes and implementations.

Manage annual benefits open enrollment set up through ADP WFN system, update rates and provide updated documents for new plans (if applicable). Create open enrollment site through intranet for employees to view benefit documents, enrollment instructions, etc. Ensure all benefit maximums are updated and shared with ADP for HSA, FSA, 401k and employer match for HSA & 401k.

Proactively identify efficiencies to improve position procedures and reduce time performing repetitive tasks.

Work with broker partners on benefits renewals; coordinate renewal information in HRIS, prepare and execute annual open enrollment for all employees ensuring all benefits related documents and information is updated and provided to carrier partners for the new plan year.

Maintain electronic files for benefit plans ensuring data is accurate.

Work with finance and accounting to share stoploss reports to track medical claims and trend.

Retirement Benefits:

  • Administer all aspects of the 401k plan (rehire notifications, etc.) and provide participant information to 401k partner for annual non-discrimination testing.
  • Administer pension for participants who are eligible, work with actuary to request calculations, trust team and accounts payable for monthly payments and manage process for participants who are currently receiving a benefit.
  • Administer Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) per the plan guidelines. Manage new enrollments and changes to enrollments in conjunction with the Payroll Specialist.

Other:

  • Responsible for monthly wellness updates, maintaining wellness site eligibility and setting up wellness events.
  • Participate in annual benefit plan audits with internal and external auditors.
  • Participate in/manage various Human Resources projects and/or events.
  • Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other duties as needed.


Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience managing benefits administration for a large organization, including experience in compliance, payroll and benefits-related internal controls.

Experience using ADP Workforce Now preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field helpful.

Strong time management and decision-making abilities.

Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and effectively prioritize them.

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform various mathematical calculations.

Exceptional verbal/written communication skills.

High level of empathy to manage complex individual employee concerns.

Wage Range:

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 - $85,000
