The primary responsibility of the Special Accounts Credit Officer is account management and resolution of distressed accounts via reduction of non-accrual loans in assigned Farm Credit branch offices. This includes resolution via restructure, litigation, bankruptcy, liquidation, and asset recovery. Provides non-accrual reporting as need via monthly department, quarterly account, and government guaranteed reports. Serves as a resource person to credit and lending staff in assigned branch offices. This employee must live AgGeorgia Farm Credit's Vision Statement, Core Values, and Mission Statement.
Account Management/Resolution:
Serves as Relationship Manager on assigned non-accrual loans to include managing the collections and all loan servicing activities on those accounts. Provides complete review in the areas of documentation, collateral, and repayment capacity to determine deficiencies in these areas and recommends solutions to resolve to fully performing status. Efficiently communicates and negotiates with borrowers to determine appropriate and timely restructuring of accounts.
Litigation Management:
Coordinates with Association legal counsel regarding all foreclosure and bankruptcy related litigation activities for assigned accounts. Maintains effective communication with legal counsel to ensure timely resolution of all bankruptcy, foreclosure, and other litigation matters.
Distressed Loan Restructuring/Borrower Rights:
Serves as a resource for Association credit and lending officers as it relates to the distressed loan restructure process to ensure that borrower rights are in compliance with FCA guidelines. Ensures internal procedures for distressed loan restructuring are effectively communicated to branch staff and all guidelines are met to provide appropriate accounting and documentation of Borrower Rights process.
Reporting:
Provide departmental and Association monthly and quarterly servicing, accounting, and board reporting updates as prescribed by policy, procedure, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
