Your new company
Our client is an entrepreneurial, growing General Contractor based in Palo Alto, California. They are partnered with a large developer to build 100 - 200-unit multifamily podium projects with high-end finishes in the South San Francisco Bay Area. A newly created role has opened up for a Project Manager with a multifamily background to join the team in Palo Alto, California to support these ambitious growth plans.
Your new role
Working directly with the Owner of the General Contractor, your role as the Project Manager will be to grow, guide and develop a team of APMs and Project Engineers to support this growth phase and take this company to the next level. You will be responsible for creating and managing the budgets for $50m+ projects 1-2 at a time, the overall management of the schedule with the support of the Lead Superintendent, reviewing RFIs, submittals & change orders and high-level interactions with the Owner and the Developer.
What you'll need to succeed
The position requires at least 8-10 solid years of construction experience with the last 5 focused on project management tasks and recent multifamily project experience running projects from start to close. You must have the attributes of a leader, excellent attention to detail and great communication skills to manage the budget and the schedule for the projects.
