Participate in clinical operations and procedures, including taxonomy, anatomy, feather structure, imping (feather repair), tail sheathing (protection), necropsy, pesticide poisoning, calculating medications, and fluid therapy relates related to raptors.
Learn and participate in daily examinations, treatments, and administering medications to sick and injured raptors.
Prepare food for clinic patients.
Clean and maintain raptor housing.
Prepare slides for laboratory examination and analysis.
Share your experiences with others through e-newsletters, social media, etc.
Background in animal science, biology, or pre-veterinary coursework is preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Willingness to learn and work with a team.
Prior experience with handling wildlife or animal medicine is highly desired.
Commitment to Audubon’s mission and programs and respect for wildlife, conservation, and Florida’s environment.
