Position Summary: 

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure and applications. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect our cloud environments from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Help design and architect secure cloud environments on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Conduct and review regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Implement and manage cloud security tools, including cloud native security solutions, security scanning, and security configuration standards.
  • Develop and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating security controls such as automated code scanning, continuous monitoring, and policy enforcement.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement best practices in cloud platforms to include secrets management, access controls, and role/permissions management.
  • Monitor cloud environments for security vulnerabilities, alerts, and incidents.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate security into the project planning.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers and other team members.
  • Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Participate in incident response planning, tabletop exercise participation, and conduct post-incident analysis.

Minneapolis, MN or Remote, US

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks).
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, identity and access management, cloud infrastructure and application security principles.
  • Proficiency in scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools (e.g., Python, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR/AV, SOAR, and vulnerability management platforms are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or similar are highly desirable 

What We Offer:

The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.  

The annual salary range for this role is: $100,200- $140,000. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
