Position Overview:
A Manufacturing Training & Development Instructor is responsible for developing, conducting and coordinating all training programs in CHA operations. Conducts hands on training sessions, measures trainee performance progress and provides feedback to leadership. Completes tasks associated with the training of manufacturing and handling of cable and equipment based on training, policies, and procedures. As well as developing employees in their current positions to cultivate a safe and retainable workforce. The Trainer works with the Managing Director, Operations Managers, Supervisors and Senior Management Assistant/Lead to constantly improve the long-term capabilities of the area(s) assigned. Facilitates and delivers internal learning solutions and develops in-house training programs as assigned. The ideal candidate will measure production quality and quantity and applies learning tools to improve both.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Conducts training and educational programs, on-the-job training, and employee orientation
Facilitates learning solutions, preparing plans according to SubCom policies and procedures.
Maintains expert-level knowledge in at least two production departments; evaluates and improves processes within work areas
Knowledge of PC application/programs required to successfully perform their duties (Microsoft Office Suite)
Collaborates with leadership team to assess, design, develop and maintain training solutions and components to refine learning tools and techniques
Develops onboarding programs for new employees
Tracks and analyzes learning curriculum effectiveness through various evaluation techniques, including the evaluation of individual performances
Attends education conferences, when needed, in best interest of company
Improves associates' job-related skills; Develops, Maintains, and Applies learning tools (methods, checklists and skill building agreements) to encourage cross-functional development
Identifies areas for team cross-training and supports and implements the training to obtain the objective for retention of SubCom employees
Has a "servant leader" mentality while promoting safety and 5S principals
Manages classes with attendees of diverse levels of competencies and varying educational needs
Strong public speaking and communication skills (written and oral)
Conduct, plan, and coordinate training to a variety of audiences in a multi-cultural workplace
Provide manufacturing support as needed

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency
One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training role preferred
Knowledge of company policies, procedure, goals and objectives
Ability to develop, plan and implement training programs
Possess the ability to react to changes of responsibility throughout the day
Strong verbal, written, organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to set expectation and communicate goal and objectives
