Job Description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a project manager to oversee and execute strategic projects and initiatives, specifically our premier conventions, FMX and Future. This role involves working with teams across the academy to plan and execute our largest events that gather thousands of our members. Depending on capacity, this role may take on additional projects and consult with staff on process improvement and project management best practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of high-priority organizational projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to achieve project goals.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, milestones, and key deliverables.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years’ work experience
  • Experience with Project Management Tools: Proficiency in using project management software such as Microsoft Teams or Jira is highly desirable. Familiarity with these tools can streamline project planning, task tracking, and collaboration among team members.
  • Budgeting: Knowledge of budgeting principles and experience in managing project budgets is advantageous. This includes tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure projects remain within budget constraints.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels is crucial. Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution, contribute to a positive team dynamic and project success.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in managing events. Certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma are valuable but not mandatory.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills are required for this position.
