Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) is a subsidiary of VOA that oversees Senior Healthcare and Affordable Housing nationwide. In addition to helping older adults achieve their highest levels of health and independence in our senior living and care communities, VOANS is dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.


VOANS is seeking a Talent Acquisition Assistant
Intern to play a key role in supporting the Talent Acquisition department. The selected candidate will will be an integral part of the Talent Acquisition department by supporting recruitment initiatives and providing administrative support via collaboration on filling challenging roles and exploring innovative ways to enhance outreach through social media platforms. The ideal candidate will be an adaptable, self-driven, self-starter ready to dive into challenges with enthusiasm. Ideal candidates will also have excellent writing and communication skills, good time management, strong attention to detail, ability to stay on task and a willingness to learn new areas.



This position extends the opportunity for part-time hours (up to 29 hours per week)




and full-time hours (up to 40 hours per week)




This position is fully Remote




The internship is unpaid, however, a stipend is provided




Primary Responsibilities:



  • Create Impact: Assist in drafting, publishing and maintaining job advertisements across multiple platforms


  • Dive into Sourcing: Support candidate sourcing efforts by leveraging online databases, social media channels and recruitment platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for various roles


  • Support the team: Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Director and team to support recruitment initiatives and provide assistance as needed


  • Be a part of Events: Help coordinate and participate in career fairs, recruitment events and campus visits to engage and attract top talent


  • Collaborate & Grow: Work on meaningful projects, share your ideas and learn from industry experts while building valuable professional skills

  • Must be able to meet deadlines on projects and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, stay organized and meet deadlines




Qualifications:




Physical Capabilities:



  • Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.

  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods

Education and Experience:
