The Director – Sales Operations and Program Management is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing the sales operations’ function while driving the successful execution of key programs that support the organization’s revenue growth objectives. This role combines operational excellence with strong program management skills to ensure alignment between sales strategy, execution, and measurable business outcomes.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
Sales Operations Leadership:
Develop and implement scalable sales processes and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the sales organization.
Oversee the management of sales forecasting, pipeline analysis, territory design, quota setting, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with sales leadership to develop strategic plans and ensure that operational tactics support revenue targets.
Program Management:
Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor key sales and business initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall corporate strategy.
Establish program management best practices, including project planning, risk assessment, and performance tracking.
Manage the lifecycle of strategic projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Leverage analytics and CRM tools to provide insights and actionable recommendations for sales strategy adjustments.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that track key performance indicators (KPIs) and program outcomes.
Continuously monitor market trends and internal performance data to optimize sales processes and program effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Construction, Legal, finance, Accounting, Sales, Tax, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive execution of sales strategies.
Act as a liaison between the sales organization and other departments to ensure that customer feedback and market intelligence inform product and service enhancements.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to drive organizational alignment.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sales operations and program management professionals.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence.
Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and identify professional development opportunities for team members.
Budget and Resource Management:
Oversee the sales operations budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives.
Identify opportunities to optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a talented and diverse group of high-performing team members.
Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including overseeing new team member onboarding and providing career development planning and growth opportunities.
Empower team members to take ownership of their job and goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed and provide routine constructive feedback on performance.
Create a culture that is consistent with the organization's focus on team member engagement, and that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Lead team members using a performance management and development-focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and performance development planning.
Lead team members to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is required.
An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in sales operations, program management, or a related field.
Proven track record in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
Experience working within a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence decision-making across all levels of an organization.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is a plus.
This role may require occasional travel to support various business functions and client meetings.
