Job Description




A Logistics Specialist's responsibilities may include:

• 
  This role supports the tobacco industry
  


• Prepare, review, interpret, and ensurecompliance of shipping documentation, primarily for incoming shipments, but may include outgoing shipments


• Supportbusiness and client strategic goals after analyzing and assessing stability needs


• Have awareness of Tobacco Product Manufacturing Practices (TPMP)


• Have knowledge of import and export rules and regulations and compliance guidelines


• Cooperatewith customs and interactwith logistic experts to improve the shipping process


• Arrange pick-ups and cooperate with external shipping partnersm, (may delivermaterials to customers on-site)


• Communicate with internal clients regarding lead times and pick-up/delivery dates


• Compile and archiveall relevant documentation


• Author and/or review technical documents and participate in daily meetings as required


• Handle shipping discrepancies/exceptions/deviations in an appropriate and timely manner, contributing or leading root cause investigations and helping to define and execute corrective and preventative actions (CAPA), assist with Quality and Regulatory Audits and interact directly with auditors


• Communicate with the Tax department, Customs, and Internal Customers as needed


• Assist in training of personnel

Qualifications




Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in science or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience


• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Desired Qualifications:

• 2 - 4 years related experience in shipping/logistics


• At least1-year relevant laboratory/quality assurance experience in a regulated lab environment, with preference for GLP or cGMP

Position is full-time and permanent,Monday-Friday, 8am-5pmwith over time as needed.This role is located on-site in Winston-Salem, NC.
