As the Sourcing Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction of the company's sourcing function. You will lead a team of sourcing professionals and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure a cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable supply chain. Your role will require a deep understanding of global sourcing practices, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the global sourcing strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives, driving cost optimization and operational efficiencies.
Supplier Management: Lead the identification, evaluation, and selection of suppliers; build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring high performance and adherence to quality and ethical standards.
Contract Negotiations: Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring terms are favorable, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sourcing team; foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with various internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development, logistics, finance) to identify sourcing needs and ensure alignment with overall business strategies.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive pricing, and sourcing innovations to proactively adjust strategies and ensure the best value for the company.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with sourcing, including geopolitical, supply chain disruptions, and price volatility.
Cost Management: Manage sourcing budgets, track performance against targets, and deliver cost savings initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, managing and developing a team.
Extensive knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and global supply chain dynamics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex supplier relationships.
Proficiency in procurement tools and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba, etc.).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in managing budgets and delivering cost-saving initiatives.
