Job Opportunity: Head Coach NCAA DIII Women's Lacrosse Program
10-Month Full-Time Position | Allegany Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC)


Alfred State is seeking a passionate and driven Head Coach to take the helm of our NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse program. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a competitive program while fostering the personal, academic, and athletic growth of our student-athletes.

Responsibilities:
As the Head Coach, you'll oversee all aspects of the Women's Lacrosse program, including:

  • ·Recruitment & Skill Development: Build and develop a team of high-caliber student-athletes who excel on and off the field. Lead recruitment efforts, establish connections with prospective student-athletes, and ensure compliance with NCAA Division III regulations.
  • ·Game & Practice Strategy: Design and execute practice plans, game strategies, and conditioning programs in collaboration with our Strength and Conditioning Coach.
  • ·Student-Athlete Experience: Create a culture of excellence that emphasizes academic success, character development, and a positive team environment. Serve as a mentor and role model to ensure a transformative college experience for all student-athletes.
  • ·Team Leadership: Lead and inspire assistant coaches, fostering a cohesive and supportive coaching environment.
  • ·Program Administration: Manage the women's lacrosse budget, create competition schedules, oversee travel plans, and adhere to compliance requirements, ensuring the smooth operation of the program.
  • ·Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with alumni, host events, and engage with the community through clinics, speaking engagements, and volunteer efforts.
  • ·Fundraising: Lead initiatives to secure additional financial support for the program, including clinics and alumni contributions. Summer camp opportunities also exist.
  • ·Campus Involvement: Play an active role in college-wide events, including Homecoming, Hall of Fame celebrations, and community service projects.
  • Additional Duties:
  • ·Assistance with administrative duties including one or more of the following: physical education courses, special event coverage and promotions, and judicial monitoring.
  • ·Additional administrative tasks assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • ·Bachelor's degree.
  • ·Women's Lacrosse coaching experience and/or playing experience
  • ·An understanding of NCAA compliance and regulations.
  • ·Strong recruiting, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ·Master's degree.
  • ·NCAA Collegiate-level coaching experience
  • ·Fiscal management and fundraising experience.


Additional Information:

The starting salary for this position is $53,960 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
