100% IN OFFICE, MUST BE LOCAL TO THE TWIN CITIES, Minnesota
VP will lead a team of 4-6 project managers who are fully engaged in the renovation of hotels, retail, commercial buildings, and multi housing nationwide. 5+ years of experience in this space is preferred. This is a high-level office position.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Construction knowledge: Must be able to read and display expertise w blueprints, schedules, spreadsheets and software systems. Able to manage fixed price projects with a profit objective and think outside the box. Must have the ability to drive/manage the estimating, bidding of projects and change orders. Experience with permit process, inspections, punches.
Leadership: Experienced in hiring, supervising/mentoring and working with individuals of varying skillsets. Must be adept at motivating and holding highly compensated PM's accountable in a professional manner to encourage efficiencies and transparent communication throughout the renovation process resulting in successful, timely, profitable final closeout.
Sales and Negotiation Expertise: Able to create and develop long-term relationships with large-scale clients. Effective at selling, negotiating and landing competitive contracts in the multi-million-dollar range, ensuring payments along the way. Effective in leading entire team to grow sales with skill and tact. Ability to demonstrate value to clients with a renovation budget and build a team with all parties; PM's, Site Supervisors, subcontractors and client reps.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in Excel a must, Procore preferred as well
Able to travel via airplane occasionally on 1-2-night trips
5+ years of construction, estimating and project management experience.
Available to take calls after hours to guide the team in challenging situations.
Computer and phone use daily and frequent. Provide your own laptop and smart phone. We provide all other necessary equipment and subscriptions.
Valid driver's license for rentals.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, physically inspect work quality by bending, stretching.
Clear understanding of blueprints, plan drawings.
Regular and prompt attendance either in the office or on the project site.
Salary: $125,000.00 to $150,000.00/year plus complimentary medical coverage (no premium deductions)
