About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our water flood operations, performing reserve forecasting and analysis, and supporting our acquisition and divestiture activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing water flood maintenance and optimization to improve production and efficiency
Completing bi-annual reserve cycles, including reserve-based lending and borrowing
Analyzing production data, well logs, and other technical information to identify opportunities for improvement
Supporting our asset management team with valuations, price runs, and other decision-making
Collaborating with our operations and geology teams to maximize field performance
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical field
5+ years of experience as a Reservoir Engineer, preferably in an upstream oil and gas environment
Strong technical skills in reservoir engineering principles, including decline curve analysis and production forecasting
Proficiency in reservoir simulation and modeling software, such as PHDWin or ARIES
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills:
Experience with water flood management and conformance optimization
Familiarity with acquisition and divestiture processes, including valuation and due diligence
Knowledge of oil and gas operations, including well interventions and production optimization
Proficiency in programming languages or data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL)

The company currently operates over 6,000 wells across 600 leases, with a focus on water flood management and production optimization. They are looking to expand its asset base through strategic acquisitions while also improving the performance of its existing operations.
