Position Overview:
Seeking an engineer with expertise in disassembly, assessment, and recycling of end-of-life battery systems. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of battery technologies and a focus on material recovery and environmental impact reduction.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop battery systems, including cell selection and architecture.
Perform battery simulations and design circuits for voltage and current sensing.
Develop models for state-of-charge estimation.
Conduct due diligence on designs and fabricate electrochemical cells.
Research new energy materials and work with lab technicians.
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in battery disassembly, recycling, or lifecycle management (automotive, energy storage, or electronics).
Knowledge of lithium-ion and other common battery chemistries.
Understanding of safety regulations for battery handling and disposal.
Experience with battery management systems and diagnostic tools.
Proficiency in CAD software.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with automated disassembly systems or robotics.
Knowledge of environmental testing and battery recycling trends.
